About
Hello! I am a Christian teacher and I have been teaching for over 20 years. I teach students of all ages and abilities to help them learn to read music and learn some theory. I incorporate fun games and activities for the younger students. Daytime slots are available for homeschoolers. Lessons can be in-person at my home in Chester, VA or online.
Throughout my years of lessons, I performed in many groups, harp choir, and orchestras on harp and piano. I attended the Eastman School of music for harp for 8 years and also for piano for my senior year in high school. I graduated with a diploma in harp from the CED division at Eastman, which required taking both aural skills and theory classes. I graduated with a BA in Music from Roberts Wesleyan College. While there, I took many method courses, giving me a basic knowledge on most instruments. I performed with the college/community orchestra and the wind ensemble.
