About Aubery

I graduated with a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from the University of Malaya, achieving a CGPA of 3.76/4.00 which is first class honors, and obtained an ATAR of 95.3 during my Australian Matriculation.

My professional actuarial experience has further strengthened my mathematical, analytical, and quantitative skills. I regularly work with complex data, mathematical models, and structured problem-solving in my professional role.

Most importantly, I have been teaching students through online tuition since 2019, which has given me experience in explaining concepts clearly and adapting lessons to different students.

Lessons are available online, with face-to-face lessons around Petaling Jaya depending on location and arrangement.

About the lesson

I am an Actuarial Science graduate from the University of Malaya (CGPA 3.76/4.00) with over 6 years of tutoring experience since 2019. I currently work as an Actuarial Analyst in Hong Kong Valuation at RGA, where I apply mathematics, statistics, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.

I enjoy teaching because I believe students should understand the logic behind a concept, rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. My approach is structured, patient, and adapted to each student's learning pace and level.

I am comfortable working with both local and international students and particularly enjoy helping students strengthen their mathematical thinking and confidence when tackling challenging problems.

My lessons typically focus on:

Building a strong understanding of fundamental concepts
Explaining difficult topics step by step
Developing mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Working through challenging questions and exam-style problems
Identifying and correcting gaps in understanding
Helping students become more confident and independent learners
Adapting the pace and teaching style according to each student's needs

For students who already have a strong foundation, I can also provide more challenging questions to develop deeper understanding and prepare them for advanced topics.
