About Cyrus

Piano instruction grew from a small side project into the primary focus of my 11 years of professional work. Precision matters to me, but not at the cost of someone switching off. It is quite simple really.

I work best with students willing to be wrong out loud while we refine their memorization techniques or sight transposition. By teaching the shortcut only after the long way makes sense, I ensure the music eventually starts to feel obvious. I look forward to helping you reach your own specific musical goals.

About the lesson

Diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan forms the foundation of my method. That is the starting point.

Having earned a Master of Music in Piano from the USC Thornton School of Music, I emphasize the specific bel-canto phrasing that separates a student performance from a real one. We will navigate through scales, arpeggios, and sight playing with an unhurried, detail-oriented pace that prioritizes 10.0 level results. My focus remains on pedaling and rubato to ensure every note carries weight. Do you feel ready to explore the deeper technical requirements of your repertoire?
