About Caio
My teaching method is open, Visual Arts classes are focused on experience with materials and exploring themes; we can move between languages and at their intersection, depending on the student's interest. Art History classes, in the clash with works and writing, aiming to pay attention to what is seen, the exploration of possible meanings and its articulation with an external repertoire (historical, social, political, economic, cultural context, etc.).

My name is Caio, I am an artist and I have a degree in Visual Arts from USP, where I also took a bachelor's degree in Printmaking. I taught Art History classes for 5 years, developed academic research on Brazilian modern art and am a collaborating editor in the online publication Revista Tonel. During my training, I developed several works in drawing, painting, performance and video. I have a special interest in discourses and practices of decolonization, psychoanalysis and questions of identity.
