About Manuel
Who I am:
I'm Manuel, a student from Padua with a degree in Applied Sciences from Liceo I. Nievo. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics at the University of Trieste. I chose this program because I'm fascinated by the mathematical principles behind machine learning.
My relationship with mathematics:
I have always enjoyed mathematics and achieved good results in high school, but I achieved a truly profound understanding while preparing for university exams (Analysis 1, 2 and Geometry).
My teaching experience:
In high school, I participated in a peer-to-peer programming tutoring program for six months. It was a very successful experience that made me discover how much I enjoy helping others understand complex concepts. It gave me confidence in my ability to explain and support.
My method:
I'm in the habit of explaining what I'm studying to my colleagues while I'm preparing for exams—it helps me grasp the concepts, and they appreciate my way of simplifying complicated things. I always focus on understanding the why behind the principles, not just how to mechanically apply them.
Beyond the study:
In my free time I study Chinese (I know how important patience is in learning!), I like cooking and I am passionate about climbing.

My approach: guided discovery
START (first 5-10 min):
• “Are there any doubts about the exercises you did?” - we always start from here
• If there are no doubts, let's introduce the new topic
• Let's decide together what to do in the lesson
THEORY THROUGH DISCOVERY (20-30 min):
I don't give lectures! I prefer to help you understand on your own through questions and reasoning:
• I guide you to discover the rules instead of telling you directly
• If there is an error, let's discuss how to fix it together
• I give you the right tools and help you understand when to use them
• It's more of a discussion where you are the protagonist
️ REASONED PRACTICE (20-40 min):
• Exercises prepared in advance (use of tablet and paper)
• I'll let you think at your own pace, without pressure
• I use GeoGebra when I need to visualize
• I share everything we write
️ BREAK when needed (lessons 60-90 min)
CONSOLIDATION:
• Let's check together if everything is clear
• Interesting case studies rather than standard assignments
• If you have basic gaps, we will fill them calmly
TOTAL CUSTOMIZATION:
I adapt to your personality and pace. If you need to review the basics, we'll do it slowly. The important thing is that YOU truly understand!
