About Helen
I have a background in academic art education. I studied art and design in Saint Petersburg University of Art & Design. I was admitted to a state-funded university program after completing art school. My education focused on drawing, painting, and developing a strong understanding of fundamental artistic principles.
As an artist and tutor, I value structure, clarity, and thoughtful learning. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
I focus on clear explanations, strong fundamentals, and step-by-step guidance adapted to each student’s level and goals.
I continue to develop my artistic practice and deepen my understanding of fundamental drawing and painting through ongoing study and work. Teaching for me is a way to share this foundation and support students at the beginning of their artistic journey.

In my lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation in drawing and painting based on academic principles such as form, proportions, light, and color.
