About Vittoria

I am a Assistant Teacher and Researcher at the University of Cambridge with over two years of experience teaching mathematics-based modules and economics courses at the undergraduate level. My academic background combined exceptional performance with a deep passion for quantitative economics.

I completed my BSc Economics course at QMU as a top-performing graduate, averaging 88% across my studies. I went on to complete my MPhil in Economics at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a 70% average.

Across the past two years I have assisted students from universities such as KCL, LSE, UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, and Imperial. This has been in a wide range of modules & courses from the foundational modules such as Microeconomics & Macroeconomics to a variety of Econometrics based modules ranging across all years of the undergraduate curriculum. I live locally to London and am available for both in-person & online support, I offer all lessons in both English or Italian.

Prior Tutee Testimonials:

“Vittoria helped me with microeconomics exam preparation; I would not have done so without her help.”

“Vittoria was an excellent teacher. All her lessons were planned and well thought out, and she explained all concepts with patience. It was easy understanding her sessions because she would ensure I would understand everything in detail and if I required any extra help, we could go over it as many times as I needed.”

“Such a lovely experience, I loved working with Vittoria, I felt like she really understands what it means to be a student and struggling with a subject.”

As a tutor, I feel I aim to provide an academic-strengthening journey for each and every one of my students. My 1:2:1 sessions are best described as an interactive gym session, where we work alongside each other, encouraging an environment of confidence to enable my students to attack their practice questions, homework, mock exams, and coursework assignments stress-free.

As a recent university student myself, in my experience, my attention to detail and focus are what contributed greatly to much success at IB, undergraduate, and graduate levels. I aim to instil a sense of passion for the given subject into each of my students, guiding them to understand real-life applications & explanations of commonly only theoretically taught concepts.

Across the past 2 years, I've noticed that the students who made the connections between the course content and real-life implementations of the tested content performed with more confidence than those who did not.

Outside of purely Mathematics, I've demonstrated a well-rounded base of knowledge through my achievements during my IB Diploma, which I received from a boarding school based in Oxford. Within this course, I covered Mathematics, Analysis and Approaches, Physics, and Economics. I am available for both in-person and online support, I live locally to London and am happy to commute on a case-by-case basis. I offer lessons in both English and Italian.
