About Melissa
I’m Melissa, a music teacher of 15+ years, singer, songwriter, and coach for young musicians. I love helping kids fall in love with piano and giving them the tools to create, perform, and express themselves through music. If your child has a heart for music, they’ll feel right at home here at Heavenly Lyrics Piano Studio.

My Lesson Style
Each lesson is structured to keep students motivated, focused, and excited:
1. Warm-Up (2–3 min)
Finger exercises, rhythm claps, and quick review of last week’s skills.
2. Learning Something New (15–20 min)
We explore new music concepts such as chords, technique, sight-reading, or a new piece.
I break it down step-by-step so it always feels manageable.
3. Play & Practice (10–15 min)
Students play songs with guided practice.
I model the technique, then help them build accuracy and confidence.
4. Fun Creative Moment (2–3 min)
Improvisation, musical games, or creating a tiny melody — this is where the JOY happens.
5. Wrap-Up & Goals (1–2 min)
Students leave knowing exactly what they learned and what to practice next.
