About Rebecka
Mathematics is often seen as intimidating, but I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can develop confidence and mastery in the subject. As a UC Berkeley Mathematics graduate with years of experience both as an independent tutor and a classroom teacher, I specialize in Precalculus, Calculus, and higher-level math. My approach focuses on clarity, problem-solving, and making math feel accessible, ensuring that students not only understand the concepts but also build the skills to apply them effectively. I am passionate about breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps, tailoring my teaching to each student's learning style. Whether you're looking to strengthen foundational skills, tackle challenging coursework, or prepare for exams, I am committed to helping you succeed and develop confidence in your mathematical abilities.

I take a problem-based learning approach, guiding students through real-world applications and structured problem-solving discussions to build deep mathematical intuition. My lessons emphasize critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and procedural fluency, ensuring students develop confidence in their mathematical reasoning skills.
Each session begins with a thought-provoking problem, encouraging students to make observations and explore patterns before diving into the lesson. Through guided exploration, step-by-step problem-solving, and interactive discussions, I help students recognize that mathematics is about discovery, not just memorization. I emphasize visual learning, logical reasoning, and growth mindset coaching, reinforcing the idea that mistakes and repetition are essential parts of mastering challenging concepts.
What sets me apart is my skills-based approach and belief that persistence is key. I understand that every student engages with mathematics differently, and I structure my lessons to embrace trial and error as a natural part of the learning process. Whether you’re a middle school, high school, or early college student, my goal is to help you develop problem-solving resilience, master challenging concepts, and build confidence in your mathematical abilities.
