About David

Hi, I'm David! I’m currently a student at UC Berkeley, and I look at math a bit differently than most people. I know exactly how frustrating it is to sit in a classroom feeling lost because a textbook or even a teacher explained a concept in the most complicated way possible. That is why I started tutoring.

Being a student at a university like Berkeley means I bring sharp problem-solving and new approaches to our sessions, while trying to keep things down to earth. I view myself as a dedicated mentor who is genuinely invested in your progress, whose goal is to completely replace that heavy feeling of math anxiety with a clear game plan that leaves you feeling unstoppable by test day. About the lesson

I look at math as a logic puzzle rather than a list of random rules to memorize. My method focuses on building habits/skills of recognizing patterns behind the numbers, so everything finally clicks. I guarantee a completely stress and judgment-free zone where we can take it slow, ask as many questions as you need, and tackle the tough problems together until you're confident on your own!

Typical Lesson Plan
10 Mins: We pinpoint the exact concept, formula, or homework problem that tripped you up or caused stress this week.

20 Mins: I sketch out the math visually, breaking the formula down into simple, step-by-step logic so you see why it works.

25 Mins: You take the wheel. You solve problems while explaining your thinking aloud, building independent confidence while I offer real-time, encouraging feedback.

5 Mins: A quick wrap-up of the day's key steps and a simple strategy for you to tackle your math homework during the week.
