About Jose

I love giving back to people. I pursued teaching because I wanted to witness and contribute to others' growth. This passion led me to work with children with autism, where I aimed to make a difference in their lives and see them flourish. Being part of their journey is something I take great pride in, a pride that continues as I transition into becoming a school psychologist. Through my experience teaching children with autism, preschoolers, and school-aged children from 5 to 11 years old, I have developed an understanding of the complexities involved in working with this demographic. My goal is to support them in any way possible to help them become the best versions of themselves.

About the lesson

To truly help someone you are tutoring, you must first understand where they are struggling. My background in school psychology gives me the ability to identify these struggles. For instance, I can determine if issues with working memory (the ability to retrieve and use immediate information) or phonemic awareness are reasons you seek extra support. With this knowledge, I can design a lesson plan that best fits your individual learning style. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I make it a priority to understand each person I work with.

Of course! Here's a version that reflects a simpler, heartfelt perspective:

---

I recommend Jose as a tutor. My child is learning English and had a hard time in school. Jose is also ESL, so he really understood what my child needed. He was kind and knew how to help my child learn better. Now, my child is doing much better in school and feels more confident. Jose made a big difference for us.

My child has grown so much since they started working with José. He is kind and patient and willing to adjust himself to their needs. I was worried because my child is quite shy and José was able to build rapport with him and allowed him to feel safe. This safe feeling allowed him to flourish and deal with his insecurities truly. He is an amazing tutor and I am grateful to have him in my child's life.
