About Niki
Hi! I’m Niki — a third-year Honours Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Edinburgh, based in West Lothian. I offer Maths and Science tutoring for students aged 4 to 16, including support with schoolwork, assessments, and SQA exam preparation (National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher).
With experience working at a tutoring centre, assisting in schools, and currently mentoring in Edinburgh high schools through an Edinburgh university outreach programme, I’m confident in my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and support students of all abilities.
I achieved Grade A in Advanced Higher Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, earning top scores in my school. I’m a patient and supportive tutor, and I tailor each lesson with personalised materials, practice problems, and guidance to help students grow in confidence and ability. Over 80% of my students improved by at least two grades within half a year of lessons.

In each lesson, I begin by reviewing topics recently covered in school, identifying and clarifying any concepts that may be causing confusion. I then provide targeted practice questions and past paper problems to strengthen understanding and focus on areas where the student needs the most support.
If the student is progressing well and feels confident, I’m happy to introduce material beyond the school curriculum to help them stay ahead and explore topics that interest them.
