About Moses
My name is Moses, and I am a dedicated private tutor specialising in Mathematics, Physics, and GCSE Sciences. I am based in Cambridge, where I work with students from a wide range of schools and academic backgrounds. My teaching is grounded in clarity, structure, and a deep commitment to helping every learner reach their full potential.
I chose to teach because I believe that education has the power to transform confidence, open opportunities, and change the way students see themselves. Many young people are capable of far more than they realise; they simply need explanations that make sense, guidance that is patient and consistent, and a tutor who genuinely understands how to support them.
My approach is built on three principles:
1. Clear, structured explanations
I break down complex ideas into logical, manageable steps. Students often tell me that topics they once found confusing become far more understandable after just one session.
2. A focus on genuine understanding
Rather than encouraging memorisation, I help students develop a strong conceptual foundation. This allows them to approach unfamiliar exam questions with confidence and independence.
3. A calm, supportive learning environment
Every student learns differently. I create a space where questions are welcomed, mistakes are part of the process, and progress is celebrated. My aim is to help students feel capable, motivated, and in control of their learning.
I teach because I care deeply about helping students succeed — not only in their exams, but in their long-term academic journey. Watching a student grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve results they once thought were out of reach is the most rewarding part of my work.
