About Kayla
Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a Hampton University Biology graduate and a Columbia University master’s student. I love helping students understand and enjoy science, math, and all subjects they need help in. My tutoring method focuses on patience, clarity, and encouragement. I begin each lesson by reviewing what a student already understands, then carefully introduce new concepts with examples, practice, and discussion. I close by reinforcing key ideas and providing a plan for growth.
What sets me apart is my background as a Hampton University Biology graduate now pursuing my master’s at Columbia University in Narrative Medicine while preparing for medical school. I connect science to real life, helping elementary, middle, high school, and undergraduate students not only understand material but also gain confidence.
