About Beyza
I’m a Computer Science graduate from George Mason University with experience in both education and software development. I previously worked as a programming and coding instructor, where I helped students learn programming concepts and develop their problem-solving skills.
I am also currently registered as a substitute teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools, which has given me experience working with students of different ages, learning styles, and academic needs.
Outside of teaching, I work on real-world software development projects, building web applications and working with programming languages, databases, APIs, and modern development tools. This allows me to bring practical experience into my programming lessons while also supporting students in mathematics and other technical subjects.
I aim to create a patient and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenging concepts.

I believe the best way to learn is to understand the reasoning behind a problem rather than simply memorize the steps. I break concepts down into clear, manageable pieces and adjust each lesson to the student’s level, pace, and learning style.
For computer programming, I can help with programming fundamentals, problem-solving, understanding code, debugging, and assignments. We can work through problems together step by step, with the goal of helping you become more confident writing and understanding code independently.
I also offer mathematics lessons, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Whether you need help understanding a difficult concept, preparing for a test, or working through homework problems, we’ll focus on both the solution and the reasoning behind it.
Questions are always welcome, and I’m happy to slow down, go back to the basics, or explain a concept in a different way until it makes sense.
