I am an exhibiting artist and educator. I have taught art for over ten years in both the secondary setting, through adult workshops and in the tertiary sector. In my professional practice, I have had solo and group exhibitions in both commercial and regional galleries.

My teaching method combines both technique and creativity. I believe it is important to build technical skills through close observation, understanding of media and practice. Creativity comes into play through experimentation, mark making and process. Along with the exercises, each lesson looks at associated artists and art movements, both historical and contemporary, so students can gain a greater understanding of the field of Art.
