About Aidana
My name is Dana. In September 2022 I moved to the United States to pursue my graduate education. Having a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics taught with Russian methodology, I know the power of knowing the reasons behind math: and I want to share my vision with you.
Throughout my 4+ years of experience in tutoring, I have made all my students excel in mathematics, sometimes even building knowledge from the very basics

Math can be challenging, but I got your back.
I use the Soviet/Russian methodology that emphasizes derivation over memorization. We'll learn the reasons behind the answers, adding some visuals to make you "see" the math:
- we'll deconstruct something you're struggling with
- discuss what's the nature behind this math
- and build your understanding from scratch, using abstract ideas, words and my unprofessional drawing skills
My approach works best if *understanding* math is your goal. However, you decide: I can offer shortcuts to knowledge and quick help as well as thoughtful learning!
