About Gracin

I earned my BSN from the University of South Carolina Upstate. For the last 6 years, I have been a bedside nurse at a level 1 trauma center. My unit specifically cares for trauma patients, weight loss surgeries, and plastic surgeries. I have specialized training in taking care of patients with gastric bypass/sleeve and patients with reconstructive surgeries including DIEP flaps and other reconstructive flaps. I am TCAR certified for trauma patients. I have served as preceptor and charge nurse on my unit. I am passionate about teaching others and love to have students. I love helping students and new nurses build confidence in critical thinking and their ability to care for patients

About the lesson

When it comes to nursing, I think the best way to learn is by applying critical thinking. I will help you build critical thinking skills that you need to work through questions that the NCLEX will throw at you and real life nursing. I will apply real life situations I have encountered to help apply a concept. I like to use study guides and flash cards and mock tests to help nail a concept
