About Sophie
My name is Sophie and I am currently working towards a postgraduate in Data Science. As a result of this my timetable is very flexible. Prior to this I completed a BSc in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Warwick.
At A-level I studied both Maths and Physics and I currently have siblings in Year 13 and the first year of university. As a result I am familiar with the course content, structure and expectations. I have past experience tutoring both informally and through Elevate Education delivering online and in-person lessons.

I am able to offer a range of tutoring pathways as laid out below:
• A-level Maths - This will cover content from Core, Mechanics, Statistics and Decision. We can focus on one subject area or cover all across the course of the academic year or in the lead up to exams.
• Undergraduate Maths - Optional topics are matrix algebra, optimisation, probability and statistics. This will look at proofs and theorems to build a deeper understanding.
• Beginner/Intermediate Python or R - This pathway is entirely flexible according to your ability. We can either start by covering data types and if/else statements or we can jump straight into object oriented programming!
• Database engineering in SQL and an introduction to data management techniques.
In the introductory session we will discuss what you would like to cover and key milestones, such as exams. I will then send you a proposed course outline so that you can make sure it is right for you. This will be fully flexible and can be changed as we progress. Typical lesson length is one hour.
