About Sadia
Unlock your full potential and aim for nothing less than an A! Hi, I’m Sadia Fathima, a sophomore at UC Davis majoring in Data Science. With three years of proven experience tutoring at STEM Academy, I’m here to help 6th-11th graders master math concepts through hands-on problem sets, focused drills, and personalized test reviews. My approach builds confidence, clarity, and the skills needed to succeed—making math both understandable and engaging. Let’s tackle math together and reach your goals!

1. Teaching Method and Techniques:
• I focus on a hands-on approach where students actively engage with multiple problem sets. This includes progressively challenging problems to ensure students understand each concept deeply.
• I incorporate drills to build proficiency and confidence, especially in key math topics. This practice strengthens skills and helps students retain information over time.
• Test reviews are a core part of my method, where I guide students through typical test questions, highlighting problem-solving strategies and time management tips. I LOVE study guides before tests.
2. Typical Lesson Plan:
• Warm-up: Review previously covered concepts/HW to reinforce learning.
• Core Lesson: Introduce a new topic, explain the theory, and solve an example together.
• Hands-on Practice: Multiple problem sets that gradually increase in difficulty, encouraging independent thinking with guided support.
• Drills: Focused practice on areas where the student needs reinforcement.
• Test Review: Practice problems simulating test conditions, followed by a recap to clarify any doubts.
3. What Sets Me Apart:
• With three years of experience tutoring math at STEM Academy, (published on Bellevue Magazine) , I’ve developed a reliable structure that combines in-depth learning with practical application.
• I customize lessons to meet individual learning styles and adapt techniques to ensure students gain a robust understanding of math concepts.
4. Target Audience:
• My lessons are designed for middle and high school students (6th-11th grade), covering a range of math levels from basic arithmetic to more advanced topics, aligning with their class curriculum and goals.
