I am pleased to write this recommendation for Miss Agbons, who was not only my Agricultural Science teacher in secondary school but also a remarkable mentor.
Growing up, I did not particularly enjoy Agricultural Science, as it did not initially capture my interest. However, upon entering senior secondary school and choosing to offer the subject, I encountered Miss Agbons and that decision became one of the best I ever made. Her approach to teaching went far beyond simply delivering lessons; she had a unique ability to instill knowledge in a way that made the subject both engaging and meaningful.
Miss Agbons’ teaching was truly exceptional. She explained concepts with such clarity that it was easy to visualize and fully understand each topic. More importantly, she created a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, building personal connections with her students and making us feel comfortable enough to ask questions. Whenever we did, she responded with patience and thorough explanations that deepened our understanding.
Her passion for the subject was contagious. Through her teaching, I developed a genuine interest in Agricultural Science, particularly Agricultural Economics, which I once considered pursuing at the university level. This influence led me to enroll in both Agricultural Science and Economics in my WAEC and NECO examinations.
Although I eventually pursued a degree in Law, the impact Miss Agbons had on me remains significant. Even during my time at the university, I often found myself admiring the Faculty of Agriculture and reflecting on how inspiring her teaching had been.
Miss Agbons is an outstanding educator whose dedication, clarity, and ability to inspire students set her apart. I wholeheartedly recommend her, as I am confident she will continue to positively influence and shape the lives of her students.
