Deadly! I really enjoy my lessons with Claudia. I have tried character drawing lessons before but found little success/confidence. But ever since I started working with Claudia I feel like I'm genuinely making good progress. She gives great feedback on my drawings and provides detailed ways on how to improve upon what I already have. I would happily recommend her to anyone at any level of expertise in drawing. Especially if you are someone who is a bit hesitant and unsure about their drawing skills, I highly encourage you to take a lesson with her.

Deadly! Claudia is simply the BEST art teacher I've ever had. She holds a Master's degree, has a wealth of experience in drawing and sculpture, and is multilingual. But over and above her impressive qualifications, what makes Claudia an incredible educator is that she genuinely enjoys teaching others and sharing her love for art in a way that is meaningful to her individual students.

I went to Claudia as an art history lover with absolutely no drawing experience or ability and had NO idea what to expect. Claudia has carefully constructed a curriculum that explains the basics of visual arts and quickly builds upon that foundation; moreover, you will understand WHY it is important to understand all these factors as your skills grow. She also guides you to improve your work with patience and kindness, so even if your art isn't perfect the first time, you'll never feel bad about it. In just two short months, I have gone from struggling with stick figures to actual, legitimate confidence in my figure-drawing ability for the first time in my LIFE.

What I really appreciate is that Claudia goes out of her way to tailor her lessons to her students' interests and to make sure the class environment works for them. If you need silence, conversation, music, or podcasts to do your best work, Claudia is happy to accommodate. I love ballet, and as soon as Claudia learned this, she researched and incorporated ballet poses into all our lessons, which was the most amazing surprise, and made classes that much more exciting! I also love K-Pop, so when we get to drawing faces soon, we'll be referencing my favorite artists, and honestly I can't wait.

Keep in mind, Claudia is Portuguese, so she is also teaching me in English, her second language, and she is STILL able to expertly communicate the nuances of art and aesthetics, as well as the specifics of anatomy, which are notoriously difficult to do in any language! Hugely impressive. All in all, you simply will not find a more talented, kind-hearted, intelligent, or capable arts educator than Claudia, and you can rest assured that your artistic ability and confidence will positively blossom under her tutelage. Deadly! I have been interested in learning how to sketch and develop characters and I consider myself lucky to find a professional artist as Claudia. Her class is the right mixture of theory, technique, and practice.
