About Matthew
I am a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute who studies Electrical and Computer engineering. These studies are centralized around mathematics, as the subjects apply trigonometry, physics, algebra, and calculus, to real world scenarios. From calculating the interactions within circuitry to constructing a smart clock. Outside of academics, a few of my on campus activities include Track and Field and Greek life.

The most important concept in learning is having the content bridge from lesson to lesson, which builds the structural understanding of the topic. In STEM subjects it's easy for students to miss some gaps in the content, which ultimately leads to difficulty and frustration. I believe every student has the capacity to succeed in any STEM field, but simply has not had the guidance they deserved to succeed. As a tutor I aim to understand what gaps of information are missing and then guide the student through these concepts. In my previous experience of tutoring college students I have often found the knowledge is always within the student, but they simply need to build up confidence to trust their own process.

Was having a lot of trouble with my physics class in my first term of college and Matt was able to help me a lot.
