About Milad

I'm a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students excel. I hold silver medals from the Asian Physics Olympiad (2017) and the National Physics Olympiad (2015), and completed my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a 3.8 GPA along with a minor in Business Administration where I achieved a 4.0 GPA. I recently finished my M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Control Systems) at the University of Alberta.
At the U of A, I've served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant across multiple courses, leading tutorial sessions, supervising hands-on laboratory experiments, and providing one-on-one academic support. This experience has sharpened my ability to break down difficult concepts and adapt my teaching to different learning styles.
I've instructed 30+ students in physics and mathematics with a perfect 5.0/5.0 rating and 100% positive reviews. I specialize in mechanics, electromagnetism, calculus, and algebra, and I develop customized learning strategies tailored to each student's needs.
I've also completed the U of A's GTL Level 1 and Spark-Eng programs to keep my teaching methods current and effective. Whether you're working through high school coursework, preparing for exams, or tackling university-level material, I'm here to make complex concepts clear and help you reach your full potential.

  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I developed my interest in physics during high school when I got involved in olympiad competitions. The challenge of solving complex problems hooked me. As I gained more knowledge, I realised I was most excited about applying physical concepts to real life, figuring out how things work and how we can make people's lives easier. With a solid foundation in classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and waves, I chose Electrical Engineering as my major to pursue that hands-on, applied side of physics
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

Physics and math are everywhere, whether you notice it or not. What excites me is helping students see those connections and realize that these subjects are not just abstract formulas but tools for understanding the world around them. There is something deeply satisfying about turning confusion into clarity.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

The best part is that moment when a student finally says, "I got it!" after struggling with a concept. Or when they tell me they got a great mark in a subject we worked on together, or that they finally passed an equivalency test after multiple attempts. Being part of those breakthroughs is what makes tutoring rewarding for me.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

I had a teacher who was incredibly creative in his approach to problem-solving. He was never afraid to take risks or try unconventional methods, whether it was fixing something broken, writing code, or tackling a theoretical challenge. He taught me that the willingness to explore new paths, even when you are not sure they will work, is what leads to real understanding.
  • What are your keys to success?

Consistency. Show up and keep working at it, even if others do not see the value in what you are doing. If you believe it matters, that is enough. Do not give up, and remember that pressure is a privilege.
