About Yasmin

I was born in Tehran and have studied and worked in Italy, France, Germany, and the United States. I hold a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and a PhD from the University of Miami, where I taught languages as a graduate instructor. I speak four languages — Persian natively, and Italian, French, and English learned as an adult — so I understand the learning process from both sides of the table. I'm also a professional actor, which makes me especially strong at pronunciation, communication, and keeping lessons engaging. Patient, structured, and genuinely passionate about teaching, I've spent my life learning difficult things — and helping others learn them is what I love most.

About the lesson

My method starts with finding the gap — whether it's calculus or conversation, struggling students usually have a missing foundation, so we find it and build from there. A typical lesson: quick review of where you got stuck, then we work through it together. In math, I show you the *why* behind every step until you can solve problems alone. In languages, we speak from day one while I correct you gently and send notes after each session. I teach arithmetic through calculus (middle school to college) and Persian, French, Italian, and English (all levels). With two engineering degrees, university teaching experience, and a career as a professional actor, my lessons are clear, patient, and genuinely fun. Every lesson is shaped around your goal — and my students leave confident, not just corrected.
