About Elizabeth
I am currently a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, having completed coursework up to Calculus II, along with various classes focused on applying these mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios. My mother, an experienced 8th-grade Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Math teacher, has been my inspiration and mentor in developing effective teaching skills. I have a diverse tutoring background, ranging from basic Math to Calculus, and have taught students at different educational levels, including elementary level, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as ESL learners and students struggling with ADHD and/or anxiety. I am proud to have maintained a 100% passing rate among my students, reflecting my commitment to their success and understanding.

My 3 key components to a successful lesson: -Clarify key mathematical concepts through example problems and diverse instructional material. -Develop and teach a variety of strategies to help the student achieve accurate results and improve problem-solving skills. -Assess student's understanding of the material through testing and feedback to ensure comprehension and identify areas for improvement. My lesson plans, teaching speed, and strategic approach are solely dependent on the student's needs. Not everybody learns the same way so I adjust accordingly.

I charge $1 per mile per session for travel expenses. Since I live in the UTSA area, that can be used to estimate the travel fee. For the first lesson, I only charge the travel fee, if applicable, since the lesson itself is free.
