About Alec
I am a third year industrial engineering student at Dalhousie University. I have grown up in Halifax my whole life, surrounded by family and friends who have provided me the necessary tools and environment to thrive academically, and I would like to share this experience with other people. While my experience tutoring is limited, I have spent lots of time coaching all ages with Halifax City Soccer Club, and have all the necessary knowledge to deal with any age.

I believe that understanding theory is fundamental to enabling students to apply their skills adequately. Talking through theory while going through problems together will develop a more sound ability to understand problems and topics to the fullest extent. Understanding why you are performing certain techniques is crucial.
I go through theory with the student, show them how the theory is applied practically, and provide opportunities to apply it themselves. I am best at math and physics for middle to high school level students, but can help with intro level engineering courses and other sciences.
