About Candela

I am a foreign language teacher, with degrees in English and Italian Language and Literature, specialized training in education, and teaching experience in the UK. Throughout my training and experience, I have discovered that teaching languages is much more than explaining grammar or correcting exercises: it's about helping people gain confidence to communicate and discover everything they can do with a language. My passion for teaching stems precisely from this. I love finding ways to explain something that seemed complicated until we reach that moment of "Ah, now I get it!" I believe that everyone learns differently, so I try to adapt my classes to each student, using active and inclusive methodologies, tailored materials, and digital tools to make learning more dynamic and meaningful. But above all, I want my students to discover that learning a language doesn't have to be boring or scary. We can work to pass an exam, improve grades, reinforce content, or simply learn to communicate better. Whatever the goal, my intention is that each class helps us move forward a little more and, why not, enjoy the journey. Because if I can get you to go from "I hate English" to "hey, this isn't so bad...", I consider that we've already won.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Candela, a foreign language teacher with a degree in English and Italian Language and Literature, specialized training in education, and teaching experience in the British education system. I've worked as a teacher in schools in the UK, where I've developed a teaching style based on participation, communication, and above all, making learning meaningful. Because yes: learning English can be so much more than memorizing lists of verbs and surviving an exam. SPEAK, UNDERSTAND, PASS… AND EVEN ENJOY IT! My classes are tailored to each student and their goals. We can work from the very beginning of the language to more advanced levels, prepare for exams, reinforce school or college material, or simply make speaking English stop seeming like an impossible mission. I focus particularly on developing communicative skills, combining conversation, comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary with practical and dynamic activities. What can you expect in my classes? 1. Academic support and reinforcement to review material and build confidence. 2. Exam preparation tailored to your goals. 3. Communicative English to learn how to truly use the language. 4. Personalized classes, because not everyone learns the same way. 5. Gamification, dynamic activities, and digital tools so that learning isn't just about doing exercises from a book. 6. Active and inclusive methodologies, adapted to the needs of each student. 7. Our own materials, adapted to work on exactly what you need. WHO'S ON THE OTHER SIDE? I'm an approachable, patient teacher who's all about "let's find another way to explain it." My background combines linguistics and literature with specific training in education, including a Master's in Education and a PGCE (QTS) from the University of Birmingham. Furthermore, my experience in British schools has given me firsthand knowledge of other teaching and learning methods. I like to create an environment where making mistakes isn't a tragedy, but rather part of the process. Because if every mistake in English were a tragedy, we'd need a lot of tissues. Would you prefer me to come to you? That's also possible. In that case, the price may increase by €3 to €5 per person, depending on the distance and whether a car is needed. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER! Does sharing a class have its rewards? Yes, indeed! If you come to class with a friend, you'll both pay only €13 per person. In small groups of up to 4 students! Learning with a friend is worthwhile. Bring a friend and don't let English catch you alone!

Las clases de Candela son dinámicas, el material estaba personalizado según mis necesidades y ella siempre que no entendía algo buscaba la manera de explicármelo hasta que lo consiguiese (y siempre lo consiguió). Gracias a ella pide sacarme mi C1 de inglés por Cambridge. Recomiendo 100%!
