About Jenna
My name is Jenna Tudor and I have recently completed my degree in History. I have been interested in a career in teaching or charity work since I was a teenager. This can be shown from my volunteer and teaching work in Romania during my summer when I was 17 and 18 years old for children from the ages of 5-16. I also worked for a long duration for Schools Hub in Bristol which is a charity to help children from lower socio-economic backgrounds with their school work or to help them get into a specific school or university. I spent my final year at Bristol University tutoring a homework class at a primary school nearby. This involved helping them with mathematical problems, spelling & grammar and reading. For the older children, I helped them with their writing skills. I thoroughly enjoyed it and believe I am able to have a good relationship with people of all ages.
Having recently completed my degree, I believe it is important to teach children basic writing and reading skills not to just pass exams but hopefully for future preparation of writing a strong CV or essay during university. Besides studying for my Masters at King's this year, I also have been involved with numerous charities such as STAR, Amnesty and have also worked for an author. I helped an author, Jeanne Englander, with the editing of her semi-biographical novel.
As a tutor, I hope to provide structured help as well as reassuring support, as I believe stress often gets in the way of performing well.
