About Sofia
I am Sofia, 27 years old and living in The Hague. I have been teaching English in secondary education for over 4 years now. My strength lies in designing lesson activities that stimulate the interest and involvement of my students. That is why I really enjoy creating lessons for students/pupils who want to master the language on their own initiative and who want to engage in the language acquisition process intensively.

I create my lessons based on the student's personal interests, his/her learning goals and active teaching methods. I use online tools that make personalization possible and where results and points for development are immediately visible.
For a private class for a Polish student who’s aim was to move to and work in Bali for a year, I edited a vlog about staying there in an interactive program called “Edpuzzle.” I also set up an outline with her for an English job interview with her and practiced her speaking skills with her. All relevant vocabulary is collected in a glossary, which is applied and reviewed every so often. With the aim of the student in mind, I determine both the lesson content and the assignments.
