About Louis

For about 5 years, I had the opportunity to help a lot of people and it brought me a lot of satisfaction. In terms of private lessons, I trained about 30 people. My students have always been able to improve their results and obtain their respective degrees. To give you two examples: I helped an EPFL student who was going to fail for the second time in her first year and thanks to my help she managed reach the average in Physics. In addition, one of my students at the Gymnase was struggling to reach the Math average. After about 6 hours of classes, she got her first 4.0 for over two years.

About the lesson

Hello everyone, My name is Louis, I am 25 years old and I have just graduated a month ago. I had the opportunity to finish my EPFL Master (Mechanical engineering, specialization in"Fluid mechanics") in 2016 with an average of 5.0. Moreover, during my bachelor's degree I had the opportunity to do my third year at the University of Sydney in Australia which allowed me to improve my English and meet a lot of new people (This was possible thanks to my average of 5.3 in first year at EPFL).
I was a high level rower during my gymnasial and university studies, crowned with a world championship junior title. Therefore after my studies at EPFL, I decided to go to Cambridge where I obtained my MPhil in nuclear energy. At the same time, I took part in the famous rowing race between Oxford and Cambridge which takes place on the Thames in London every year. The combination of sport and studies has taught me a lot about myself, learning efficiently, the pursuit for performance and the value of excellence. Moreover during my studies in Switzerland, I had the opportunity to give a multitude of private lessons, helping people from 10 to 40 years old. I was also an EPFL assistant for first and second year in Physics, Geometry, Linear Algebra, Analysis, Computer Science and Mechanics. I also helped students from the Medical school and HEC who were having trouble with Physics and Statistics lectures. During two years, I worked part-time as substitute teacher for the secondary schools of Préverenges, Lonay and Echandens. I have accumulated more than 150 hours of experience with young people.
I help people overcome difficulties through my experience as a student and a top athlete. During my classes, I demystify calculations and provide a certain confidence that is often hard to obtain against Mathematics and Physics.
AVAILABILITY: Every day and I can drive within a radius of + - 20
kms.
Price: 35 CHF - 60 min / 45 CHF - 90 min / 60 CHF - 120 min.
1 hour free on request of 6 hours of minimum training.
