About Ammar Abdulsahib
During my PhD., I did teach, demonstrated and supervised university level students and helped them during their practical classes at different laboratories as well as had assisted and assessed master degree and project students around the year during their practical research projects.
I also have privately taught different students within the past two years and still. I usually teach, chemistry, biology, and Arabic language to different levels.
I also was employed as an Academic Staff at my local university back in my country Iraq. My duties were included:
The preparation of materials and equipment for chemistry practicals in laboratories.
The demonstrating of experimental practicals, examinations and assessments done by students and ensuring by liaising with appropriate members of the teaching staff, that adequate glassware, chemicals, reagents etc., are available.
Also the setting- up of apparatus for chemical reactions, preparing reagents, monitoring and testing equipment for students to use. Assisting in the preparation of lessons and examinations as directed.
Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and that safety checks on equipment took place.
I also, worked as a Lecturer of Organic Chemistry; Teaching higher education students basic concepts of organic chemistry such as, Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes, Aromatics, Functional Groups, Alcohols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, Esters, and Amines. Helping and demonstrates for students with practical classes at laboratories.

Am flexible and friendly tutor, who would love to teach and feel that students understand fully. I always try hard to make sure students achieve their targets with a full understanding of the subject. I would like to use a variety of visual aids during my teaching, I make it interesting and practical in nature. I apply different teaching methods based on the need and ability of the students. I always make sure that my students are confident and able to pass their subjects.
I gained a PhD. in Analytical Sciences and a MSc. in Pharmaceutical and Analytical Sciences from Huddersfield University. I am passionate and capable in teaching sciences; chemistry, biology, Arabic language and pharmaceutical subjects. I always like to help others to meet their target. I have also shown myself to be self-motivated, committed and determined in achieving my goals, come what may.
I have also demonstrated negotiating and organising skills a firm sense of responsibility and my capacity to work hard under pressure. I possessed excellent verbal and written communication skills and am able to relate to a wide range of people, as proven by my varied work experiences: in administration, computing and teaching work at an academic level.

I am happy to teach GCSC studenst at a rate of £15/h, but A-level students at £18/h and University level students at £20/h.
I will also charge students half of the travel fees or we can negotiate that once we agree tuition.
