About Jin Yang
I am a PGCE qualified maths teacher with 3 years' experience. I am also a graduate from LSE. I have been teaching pupils from Year 7 to Year 12. I am experienced in teaching online and face to face. In my lessons, I like to take a scaffolding approach to prepare my pupils for the problem-solving questions. All the lessons will be tailor-made to help each pupil reach their full potential. Through my studies, I accumulated practical approaches to exam questions and have adapted and utilised engaging learning activities such as games, quizzes, and flashcards. I created summarised sheets for each topic with examples from past papers that are most likely to show up in the next exam, which allowed me to get full marks in 4 out of 5 papers for my GCSE. This has also helped my pupils improve in their GCSEs. I grew up in China and Mandarin is my native language. I have also taken the Edexcel Chinese A level and achieved an A. I have also been running Mandarin after-school clubs at school, so I'm able to teach your child Mandarin if needed. I love playing the piano, dancing and hiking in my spare time. Jenny is a very hard working teacher. In her recent observation on 08-04 she came across as outstanding.
She is very professional and has never missed a deadline, I highly recommend her.Jenny has fit in well as a maternity leave cover this academic year. She has quickly adapted to teaching a range of classes from yeas 7 to 12 including a mix of high ability and low ability classes.
Jenny has followed all school policies on behaviour and safeguarding and has implemented department policies throughout her time here. Jenny has readily adopted systems of assessment, feedback, support and long term memory strategies in her lessons and is clearly a passionate practical mathematics teacher.
