About Ninglu
Hi! My name is Ninglu, and I'm a 2nd year undergraduate student at McMaster University.
Growing up, I'd always enjoyed drawing, painting, and digital illustration. During high school and now university, I have illustrated over 4 logos, posters, 2 book covers, and worked as the primary graphic designer for a streetwear company.

My teaching philosophy centres around the idea that visual art is a language in itself; and thus, the art we strive to create should not only be creative, but able to evoke shared emotion amongst different parties.
As a teacher, my first goal would be to train and solidify the basic skills of sketching and drawing (such as understanding perspective, proportions, etc). I will introduce my students to a variety of different mediums, techniques, and artistic movements throughout history.
By enforcing such skills and appreciation for artistic merit, my students will then develop the capacity to further explore, experiment, and discover their own artistic tastes.
Then onwards, I will challenge my students by giving and guiding them through creative prompts.

Art supplies are not included; please arrive at your first lesson with a basic sketchbook and a pencil (or whatever mediums you have and/or are comfortable with).
