About Rafay
I am a friendly, cooperative, and highly motivated Mathematics tutor with strong experience in teaching A-Level, IGCSE, GCSE, Edexcel, Cambridge, AQA, and WJEC curricula. I specialize in Edexcel Mathematics, including Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics, and Further Mathematics. I am passionate about helping students understand concepts clearly and build confidence in problem-solving. My teaching style is supportive and patient, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My lessons are carefully planned and structured in advance to ensure maximum learning efficiency and clear academic progress. Each session follows a well-organized teaching plan designed according to the student’s syllabus, current level, and target grades. I teach A-Level, IGCSE, GCSE, Edexcel, Cambridge, AQA, and WJEC Mathematics, with strong expertise in Edexcel Mathematics including Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics, and Further Mathematics.
Before starting lessons, I identify the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning gaps, then create a step-by-step learning pathway. Every lesson has a clear objective, starting with concept explanation, followed by guided examples, structured practice, and exam-style questions. This ensures students not only understand the topic but also know how to apply it in examinations.
My planned lessons also include regular revision cycles, past paper practice, and targeted assessments to track progress and reinforce learning. Difficult concepts are broken down into simple steps, and each lesson builds logically on the previous one to ensure consistency and long-term retention.
I also focus on exam techniques, time management, and problem-solving strategies so students can confidently approach any question. My goal is to provide a fully structured learning experience that leads to measurable improvement, higher grades, and strong mathematical understanding.
