About Debra

Possessing over 20 years of experience in design and illustration. Lecturer in graphic design and new media.
I am proud to have been involved in many diverse projects ranging from computer games to illustrating books and creating artwork for animation alongside the more day to day design work so can offer real experience.
Natural drawing ability, excellent photoshop skills and use both of these methods to create my illustration work.

About the lesson

It depends very much on what my students want to achieve. If it's booster classes to enhance skills to run alongside GCSE's/college/university then we focus on the areas you need help with and set up a program to suit you. I can take someone with very basic art skills and improve them greatly, I have a system that really works. If you wanting to take it further and build a portfolio to apply to university I have had much success with students but if you just want to improve you skills as an artist of hobbyist I~ can certainly help you.

Deadly! Debra has tutored my 13-year old daughter for over a year and I highly recommend her. She always comes to lessons prepared with a plan for the session and has not only taught my daughter a variety of techniques but has also helped her to start to develop her own personal style. She has a lovely personality and my daughter, who can be a bit shy, gets along wonderfully with her as Debra does not "baby" her but discusses how she can improve her work and where her strengths are in a mature way.
Debra also helped my daughter build a strong portfolio, which helped her get an art scholarship at school.
You can really tell that Debra loves what she does and does it with kindness and passion. :)

The first free lesson will be part of a longer session so we have time to discuss what you want to achieve during our sessions.
