About Babar

Hello! I’m Babar Ali Shah, a Machine Learning Research Engineer and AI Researcher based in Dublin. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and have over three years of systematic research experience working on cutting-edge natural language processing, generative AI, and trustworthy machine learning systems in collaboration with frontier AI labs like Google, Amazon, and Salesforce.

I am passionate about teaching because I believe complex technical concepts—such as algorithms, data structures, and machine learning models—become far more approachable when grounded in real-world engineering practices rather than just dry theory. Having navigated both rigorous academic research and practical software development, I want to help students build true problem-solving confidence, master coding fundamentals, and succeed in their technical journeys.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student's learning pace. Having worked as a Machine Learning Research Engineer and AI Researcher, I bridge the gap between abstract academic concepts and real-world practical execution.

I emphasize a step-by-step problem-solving approach:

Core Fundamentals: Breaking down complex algorithms, mathematics, or data structures into intuitive, foundational concepts.

Hands-on Application: Writing clean Python code, running experiments, and understanding system behavior rather than relying on memorization.

Empirical Learning: Guided coding exercises, debugging practice, and project-based learning to build real engineering confidence.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science with over 3 years of systematic NLP and AI research experience.

Research collaborations with frontier AI labs (Google, Amazon, Salesforce) via Turing, focusing on LLMs, evaluation frameworks, and trustworthy AI.

Professional software and ML engineering background spanning full-stack development, database architecture, and ML deployment.

Who These Lessons Are For

University Students & Beginners: Looking to master Computer Science coursework, Data Structures, Algorithms, Python, or Mathematics.

Aspiring Developers & ML Enthusiasts: Seeking guidance on Machine Learning pipelines, NLP, Data Science tools, or transitioning into tech roles.
