About Randel Roy
I've spent 7 years teaching math to students from middle school through college level, covering everything from algebra and geometry to statistics and trigonometry. I specialize in breaking complex concepts down into clear, manageable steps, so students stop memorizing formulas and start actually understanding the "why" behind them.
I work with a wide range of learners — from students who are behind and need to rebuild confidence, to those aiming for advanced coursework or exam prep. Every lesson starts with figuring out exactly where you're strong and where you're stuck — I don't waste time re-teaching things you already know. From there, I build a plan that moves from fundamentals to more advanced material at a pace that actually fits you.
I mix visual explanations, real-world examples, and practice problems so concepts stick, not just for the next quiz but long-term. Between sessions, I'll often give you a short set of practice problems to reinforce what we covered, and I always check in on those before moving forward.
Whether you're catching up, staying on track, or prepping for a specific exam, my goal is the same: help you walk away not just knowing the material, but feeling confident you can handle it on your own.
