About Bill
I started tutoring at my sister's tuition centre in 2004 and completed my PGCE in 2007. I have since taught in, and gained leadership positions in, some of the UK's most successful and forward thinking schools. I have 5 years experience of teaching IB Diploma Mathematics at Higher, Standard and Studies levels and was IB Coordinator at Dwight School London.
I am experienced in identifying the individual needs of my students and design a personalised plan of learning for each accordingly. This personalised approach builds the confidence, to act as the foundation to enable my students to maximise progression. They achieve outstanding results, often exceeding expectations, with transformational improvements on a number of occasions.
I have a strong interest in educational technologies and incorporate their use in the personalised/blended learning plans I design alongside individual students.
I firmly believe that working as a tutor has helped me to develop as a teacher, and teaching at some of the UK’s most successful and forward thinking schools has helped me to develop as a tutor.
Within both of these spheres I have witnessed the transformational effect that a personalised approach can have on a student's progress and I am passionate about helping young people to achieve their potential.
