About June

I Love to Paint ! I want my students to love the process of learning to paint! I have taught in a Community college. I have taught at many group societies and Community Centers. My favorite place to teach is in my very own classroom, in my home next to my studio, where I have all my supplies and ample opportunity for a student to really learn to paint, giving that special connection you make with your painting. I show my students to see that they can realize their passion for painting with little effort and loads of FUN!

Painting ... there is no better feeling in the world! Moving a brush across paper or canvas connecting thoughts and feelings. Is true happiness.

I was in very small school where it was still First to 12th grade. The lower 4th and 5th grade classes did not have art so I would take my off period and go there and teach them art when I did so. I felt a great sense of accomplishment, becasue they actually understood what I was teaching them. I taught almost everywhere I landed and it has always been a fun process for me AND IT keeps me on my toes as I ahve to stay up with the new processes and tools of the trade.

I have taught class for over 15 or so years and I have been painting 4th grade. I am self taught , but took classes in the later years to make enough credits to teach at the community college. I have worked under the tutalage of many art professors some more thatn others. I am very eclectic with my art so I can give each student a class with value in knowing the medium.

About the lesson

IT depends on the students and how they process/learn ... then I gear the classes in accordence to what they wish to learn.

I do not cookie cutter any of my lessons ... they are set for each students ability.

I have taught as young as 6 years old and up to many reitirees . If they have the passion to paint I will try as hard as I can to get them there!
