About Sonali

We teach traditional Indian Folk Paintings, art projects, sewing, embroidery and crafts. The student can either choose a project in a style of their choice and finish it. Or they can go for one of our pre planned classes that will be customised based on your skill levels. You can make a set of dining napkins done warli style or sew beautiful pillow cases and embroider them in Kantha Style. Your imagination is the limit. Come and let's have a talk on how we can help your creative side flourish in traditional Indian Style Crafts. Corporate Art Workshops are also conducted for team building.

I come from a family of artists. My mom and grandmom were artists. So, growing up watching them I automatically took to it like a duck to water. 😊 I did my Fashion Design and later on scholarship I finished my Textile Design. I always had a passion to teach and would help my friends. Later I realised that I had a knack for it and it soon became my work.

I'm a writer and artist. I have been teaching for 20+ years on various traditional Indian Paintings and crafts. We conduct corporate workshops and art camps.

About the lesson

Once we understand your requirements and comfort, we will work together to come up with a plan you will be comfortable with. Based on the project, it will be 2 days a week, over the weekend or as a camp for 3-5days everyday in a row.

I have worked with students who have had no art experience but want to create something with their hands. Some people have done some drawings during their school days but later discontinued. They have a passion and appreciate beautiful things but have no idea where to start. There are also some who don't have the patience to do fine things but want to create something to call their own. All these people have one thing in common. And that is to appreciate beautiful things. They want to create something with their hands. We sit and plan the project based on individual skills. The end result is amazing and the students go home proudly carrying their work of art. That's what makes us happy! 😍

We recently conducted a workshop for 45 women to become self reliant by teaching them to reuse and repurpose materials lying around to create beautiful works of art. What made it special is not just the project itself but how it influenced the students mind set and their family members to see things around them. The unused glass lampshade has now become a bird bath. The glass bottle has now become a beautiful terrarium. People became more aware of the carbon footprint and how we can do our bit for saving the environment and have fun doing it! 😊
