About Nicole

U love teaching painting from the stand point that the student has never picked up a paint brush and painted. I have worked with kids and adults. Home school groups and summer camps. I also do paint parties with host benefits. We paint anything from animals, art history influencers to flowers and sceneries. We also use palette knives and Mardigras beads for some projects.

My first painting class I took in college, I walked away telling myself I couldn't paint. 6 years later, I was a nailtech painting very detailed nail art, and a client said I should paint on canvases, so she took me to a class with her, and I realized I had just had a bad teacher, so with this new teacher I excelled, 27 years later, I model my teaching after my that teacher and the way she broke it down, and have learned my own way of explaining things to where my students excel.

I have been working in some kind of artistic field for my entire adult life. I educated people in scrapbooking for 10 years, I have taugh painting classes for 4+ years and have a degree in Art from University of Lousiana Lafayette.

About the lesson

I have worked with all types of students from 3 years old to over 65. Men and women and I have even had couples classes, which are so fun, I love seeing how couples interact and work thru painting issues. I teach all sorts of types of classes. Acrylic, water color, alcohol ink, pour painting, drawing in pen and ink, charcoal and pastels. I have also done wine glass painting classes.

I had a painting class at Gerard park and taught the students how to paint from a live landscape.

Nicole is kind and extremely patient. My little girl loves painting. My lil girl also has such doubt in herself so she would start crying, she is 8 years old. Well Mrs. Nicole would comfort her and tell her you cannot mess up a painting it can always be fixed!! This gave my lil lady the confidence and the drive to accomplish the task! I also have taken her painting class. She is extremely talented and can teach anyone!!

Details

I charge $25 an hour for private lessons, and i also offer group classes. Adult classes are 3 hours long and $29 but $25 if preregistered. Childrens classes are $22 and $19 if preregistered. If you want to throw a paint party, each seat is $25, and if 6 preregister, then your seat is half price.
