About Jeffery

What I like most about teaching art is seeing my students achieve their goals as artist. I encourage my students to explore different media ; from pencil sketches to acrilic rendering. I have enjoyed drawing and painting from a very young age. I have taught art & design in Long Beach for 30 years at the middle and highschool level. I continue to work as a professional designer, I truly enjoy sharing my passion for art & design with my students.

I teach my students proven systems for drawing and painting. My students learn systems that teach the process of drawing that they can learn quickly and then apply towards expressing their own creativity.

I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in art and a minor in industrial design.

I work as product designer for five years before I started teaching.

I received the Design Advocate award from the American Institute of Architecture, for work with my students to get excepted to some of the top Architecture schools in the nation.

Drawing lessons offered by Jeffery are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Lakewood. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
