About Janeen

We are proud to be the premier art academy of Colorado. We have a very low student-to-teacher ratio (four students to one instructor). We have two programs. One program is for students who work through our curriculum at their own pace. The second program is a two year Fine Arts Studio Certificate Program. We are a classical school teaching the basics of drawing and painting. We work with beginners as well as advanced students. We teach all of the classical mediums: graphite, charcoal, chalk pastel, oils and watercolors.

We love to see our students excell at what they love to do. Teaching art is our passion

We have five instructors whom have either art degrees or have worked as established professional artists in the fine arts world

About the lesson

Students have the option of two programs:

Foundation Course: Students work at their own pace through the Schissler Academy Curriculum - Basic Line Drawing, Tone Studies, Simple Color Studies, Landscapes and Human Figure

Certificate Program: Two Years of Basic Drawing, Painting, Composition in all of the Classical Mediums. Beginning with simple still-life and finishing with the Human Figure drawing and painting from life
