About Adriana

My teaching method includes traditional methods I learned while studying in Italy and Mexico and modern ones , as well as guiding you with your own style as it evolves.

The techniques both for drawing and painting are based on a solid base and leaving room for sponteneity.

My art program is designed in a way that helps children and adults develop their creativity by using a series of techniques that will serve as a solid base for self-expression.

There is a seperate class at ALAC that is for children that want to be immersed in a spanish speaking art class. The intention is to foment the language and cultural roots within a fun and creative environment. It is an enriching experience because younger generations will be absorbing both art and culture. All levels of skill welcome!

My art studies range from private art studios to art schools in Florence, Italy and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. My experience traveling the world has deepened my appreciation for community and culture. I have produced an estimate of 60 commissions for clients spanning more than 12 years has been due to an ability to listen and deliver.

About the lesson

I believe that every child is capable of achieving the 5 Benefits of Art:

✨1. Making art can drastically improve your child’s fine motor skills and enhance their creative problem solving abilities

✨2. Children often use art to help them process their experiences and deal with overwhelming emotions.

✨3. Art encourages creativity and imaginative thinking, two skills that are increasingly linked with long-term professional success.

✨4. Deciding what kind of art to make and what materials they will use are some of the first opportunities for young children to exercise autonomy and make decisions for themselves. .

✨5. Art can help facilitate communication and bonding between children even if they don’t know each other or don’t share many common interests.

I strive to make sure children reap all the benefits that art has to give. This is one of my biggest passions!

Alexa says "I like that we paint and draw. That we paint faces." As a mom, I enjoy that they recognize various types of art work. Since we have been coming to the gallery they have gotten to meet and observe the various style of artwork by the different artist who work there. One day while we were waiting for class to start we walked around the gallery and looked at the new paintings that were being displayed. Alexa looked at a few and easily was able to identify who the artist was and that's because they were randomly placed around the gallery! Impressive to me and a reflection of the impact that coming to the class has had on her.
