About Keith

I am a fun, energetic teacher with many years under my belt in the fine art world. I am easy going and will make our sessions fun, easy to understand and to apply. From beginners to advanced students. I teach everything from perspective to how to mix colors along with best practices. Shading, blending, preportions. You name it, I can teach you!!!

I studied at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and have created a career out of my art. I am a recipient of the Public Mural Award for the finest mural in the SF/Bay Area. I enjoy creating large scale murals public and private, exiblit my paintings and love to learn from life itself. I love creating from nothing. Creating a world that people can peer into and ask questions about. One of the most fun conversations I have is when people ask me, What does it mean? I return the question with a question, What does it mean to you? This sparks an interaction where we both can learn.

Private art lessond are something I've been doing on and off for a long time. It started in college teaching at a middle school in NYC and then private lesson. I have always gotten great responses to my teaching style and people return for multiple sessions.

I am a life long artist. I have been doing this since I could hold a pencil and there is nothing I'd rather do.

I have taught at the middle school level, high school and private lessons of all ages.

I was heavily involved in the art edjucation program at the School of Visual Arts were I went to college, graduating with a degree in advertising art direction/graphic design. My true passion is and always has been fine art. Teaching is a way that I can help others feel the joys that come with creating from nothing!

About the lesson

All lessons start with a conversation. What is your level, goals and how much time do you want to spend learning. What amount of time do you have outside the lesson to forward your creative juices. What supplies to you have or need. Then we can come up with a plan and move forward.

Middle school, high school and adult lessons

Look at their work and most importantly, talk with them. Interview them and see what styles they can teach and if it aligns with your goals.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What you want to learn/accomplish? Is it painting, drawing? Oils, acylic or water colours? What styles of art do you like? Or just call and have a conversation.
