About Jeffrey

I teach drawing techniques based in the traditional realistic movement with strong emphasis on individual style. You'll learn foundational ideas of structure and light and most importantly, how to relax and see. I received an MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2004 and have had many exhibitions. Much of my work is in private collections around the country. Recently, I've been focusing on historical portraits along with whimsical drawings for some stories I'm writing. I enjoy helping people grow the interest they have in drawing. I like to see them be fulfilled by their accomplishments and understand that they did it all by themselves.

I have a BFA in illustration from Montserrat College of Art and an MFA in drawing from the New York Academy of Art.

About the lesson

I discover what their goals are, what they want to focus on, what they're interested in and develop lessons around that foundation.

All ages and all skill levels, but mostly beginners to intermediate level.
