About Rebecca

I have lived and worked in China, and taught many students of all ages, both in this country and abroad. I am TEFL certified and have a master’s degree in psychology. I can tailor your language learning to whatever your goals may be- whether it is for work, school, or social needs. I have an eclectic and experiential approach to teaching. I use a textbook or any resources as a starting point and a reference. I provide English lessons that are experiential, integrative, holistic, and dynamic. I have a sharp ear and am concerned with pronunciation (if you can speak a language but no one understands you, then you are no better off!). My aim is to provide lessons that are fun and effective. I have endless patience for language learning. The most important thing to me is student comprehension. Currently, I only teach adults online and on Mercer Island, WA.

This is great for someone who has fluency as their goal and they understand that this takes time and patience! The idea of establishing a relationship with a teacher feels rewarding and enriching to them. They enjoy seeing a teacher every week and practicing conversational skills with them.

$40/hr Online (using Skype/PayPal)

About the lesson

Let’s have a chat about what I can do to help you achieve your goals. If it sounds good to both of us, we can move forward with paperwork and scheduling our first lesson. Lessons are paid by the month in full, prior to the first lesson, using PayPal.
