About Hera
I am a qualified Software Engineer with an MS in Software Engineering, a BS in Computer Science, and over 15 years of teaching and professional experience. I provide personalized tutoring in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science, supporting students from school level through university.
My strong academic background across engineering and the sciences allows me to explain difficult concepts clearly and connect academic theory with practical, real-world applications. My goal is not simply to help students memorize answers, but to help them understand concepts, solve problems independently, and build lasting confidence.
Subjects I teach
Mathematics — Primary and secondary school Mathematics, exam-board Mathematics, university-level Mathematics, problem solving
Physics — School Physics, exam preparation, problem solving across school curricula
Chemistry — School Chemistry, concept revision, exam preparation
Biology & General Science — Primary and secondary Science, Biology, exam preparation, STEM fundamentals
Computer Science and Technology — Computer Science, Programming, Algorithms and Problem Solving, Software Engineering, University Computer Science
Academic and Project Support — Thesis and dissertation guidance, assignment support, student projects, and research methodology for university-level Computer Science and Software Engineering students
I have experience supporting students following a range of international school curricula, as well as university students working on Computer Science coursework, software projects, and academic research.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to adapting my teaching style to each student's age, level, and learning needs. Whether a student needs help catching up, wants to improve grades, is preparing for an important examination, or is working on a university project or thesis, I create lessons around their individual goals.
I offer in-person tutoring in Sharjah and online tutoring across the UAE and internationally.

My lessons are personalized, structured, and focused on genuine understanding.
First, I identify the student's current level, strengths, and areas that need improvement. We then work through the subject step-by-step, using clear explanations, examples, and guided practice.
Depending on the student's needs, lessons can include:
Concept explanation and revision
Homework and assignment support
Problem-solving practice
Past-paper questions and exam preparation
Identifying and fixing knowledge gaps
Exam techniques and time management
Programming and project guidance
Thesis and dissertation support
Research methodology guidance
For Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, I focus on helping students understand the underlying concepts and develop a logical approach to problem solving, rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures.
For Biology and General Science, I help students build strong conceptual foundations and connect scientific ideas to real-world examples, making the subject easier to understand and remember.
For Computer Science and Programming, I explain the underlying logic and methodology so students understand not just how a solution works, but why — including support for university-level projects, coursework, and thesis work.
For younger students, I use simple explanations and examples to build strong foundations in Mathematics, Science, and logical thinking. For secondary-school and university students, I provide more advanced, subject-specific instruction and examination or project preparation.

Wishing you all the best, Madam! May you always be happy, healthy, and successful. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mathematics teacher and for your guidance and support.
My 5-year-old son was showing curiosity about numbers and how things work. I wanted someone who could introduce him to basic Maths and Science in a fun, gentle way. HERA is an outstanding Superprof tutor with a wonderful way with young children. She is patient, warm, and encouraging. She taught my son counting, simple addition, and basic science concepts through play and interactive activities. She also introduced him to computers through simple logic games. My son looks forward to every lesson and has gained so much confidence. If you are a parent looking for a tutor who can make Maths, Science, and Computers fun for young children, I highly recommend HERA. She is simply wonderful. Seemab
I had the opportunity to learn STEM subjects from Hera. She is a very kind, friendly, and approachable person who always made her classes fun and engaging. She was always happy to clear my doubts, no matter how basic or complex they were. What sets her apart is her ability to break down difficult topics in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science into simple, relatable concepts. She genuinely cares about her students' progress and goes the extra mile to ensure they understand the material fully. I highly recommend Hera to anyone looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and professional STEM tutor in Sharjah or online across the UAE.
