About Michael
I have a Bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany in Information Science, as well as 7 years of experience in account management at a publishing company in Upstate New York.
I also attended SUNY New Paltz, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA for the duration of my Master's Degree program in Education. Before completing my Master's Degree, I determined that there are plenty of teachers entering the education field, but not enough people helping outside of the strict confines of the NYS cirriculum. I decided to withdraw from the program, and focus my efforts on my career, while keeping my foot in the door of the education field.
Some kids need extra help that teachers just cannot provide in the limited time that they have during the school day. That's where I come in. I love teaching. I love that "aha" moment when concepts finally sink in, and a thorough understanding is achieved.
I spent two years in the SUNY New Paltz Master of Science in Teaching program, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA. Prior to completing the student teaching portion of the program, I decided to withdraw from the program, and focus my efforts on my career, while maintaining a connection to the educational system through tutoring.

First, I'd like to get to know how the students wants to learn. Some students need more "hand-holding" than others, and that's TOTALLY OK! Determining how the student can learn most effectively is the most important part of educating.
Most of the students that I've worked with are in elementary school, but I have achieved high grades in math courses throughout high school, college, and grad school.
